CPD SWAT and Gun Team executed search warrant on West 47th Street resulting in five arrests and the discovery of drugs, firearms, and other illegal items
Chattanooga, TN – Per reports, the Chattanooga Police Department’s Gun Team has been investigating a location connected to shootings and shots fired calls since April 2024.
On August 22, 2024, CPD SWAT and the Gun Team executed a search warrant in the 600 block of West 47th Street, resulting in five arrests and the discovery of drugs, firearms, and other illegal items.
During the search, officers recovered five handguns (one reported stolen), approximately 27 grams of marijuana, 70.5 grams of fentanyl, 13.7 grams of cocaine, 46.69 grams of methamphetamine, three digital scales, seven cell phones, and $4,927 in cash.
The arrested individuals are as follows:
1. **Nolontae Gladden (20)**: Charged with possession of a firearm with intent to go armed, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of fentanyl for resale, and possession of crack for resale.
2. **Nolando Gladden (19)**: Charged with similar offenses as Nolontae. He also had 12 active arrest warrants, including one for aggravated assault on a police officer related to a separate offense on August 6, 2024.
3. **Marcus Ragsdale (24)**: Faced the same charges as the others and had eight active arrest warrants for separate offenses.
4. **Nickell Banks (19)**: Also charged with possession of a firearm with intent to go armed, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of fentanyl for resale, and possession of crack for resale.
5. **Jamarquez Woodley (18)**: Charged with possession of a firearm with intent to go armed, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of fentanyl for resale, possession of crack for resale, and theft (firearm).
All suspects were transported to Hamilton County Jail and Detention Center. The investigation is ongoing, and further details may emerge as it continues.
