East Ridge, TN – According to the police officials, this incident occurred on Dec. 19.
It happened at the Walgreens at 3508 Ringgold Road.
East Ridge Police Department officials say the unidentified female suspect entered the store and utilized the Western Union kiosk to initiate an electronic money transfer for $2,999.00.
The suspect then used confusion tactics with the store clerk to finalize the funds transfer without paying for it.
Investigation determined that the transfer was sent and subsequently received under an alias or fake name.
