MCSO: Deputies rescue two children from a burning house at 646 Briarwood Road
Montgomery County, TN – According to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, this unfortunate incident occurred right before 2 p.m. Monday afternoon.
It happened at 646 Briarwood Road.
MCSO said that deputies Zach Fortner and Cody Evans arrived on scene and quickly discovered two children trapped inside the burning house.
Using a ladder, the responding deputies entered a bedroom window, located the children and were able to exit the residence with them.
MCSO officials said that both deputies are being treated for smoke inhalation and are listed in stable condition.
The children are under the care of their mother.
No other injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
