Florida – A Florida man was arrested and charged with second-degree murder and chiId abuse following the fataI stabbing of his former girIfriend, 24-year-old M. MoIina in Florida. The incident came to light after the victim’s child was found wandering alone in a parking lot, her face and clothes stained with bIood.
A neighbor discovered the child near the residential complex in Florida and brought her to her grandmother, who then alerted authorities. Deputies responded and, after an initial search of the victim’s residence yielded no results, located her body inside her vehicIe. She had sustained multiple stab wounds to her neck, torso, and arms and was found wrapped in blankets on the rear floorboard of the car.
During questioning, the child informed detectives that her mother had been with a man and that she had been hit in the head and was now sleeping. Florida authorities quickly identified the 29-year-old man, later identified as J. Natth, as victim’s former partner. Court records revealed that the victim had previously obtained a temporary restraining order against the defendant, citing persistent staIking behavior. She had reported incidents including the man hiding near her residence and attaching a GPS device to her vehicle to monitor her movements.
On the day of the incident, the defendant allegedly told responding officers that he had breakfast with the victim and her child, 3, and was in the neighborhood to return her belongings. However, a search of the defendant’s vehicle uncovered the victim’s purse, cellphone, and identification documents. Cellphone data corroborated that the victim had traveled from her residence to the defendant’s home and back to the location where her body was found.
He was apprehended and appeared before a judge, who denied him bond for the murder charge and set a $5,000 bond for the child abuse charge. He remains in custody as the investigation continues.
