Chattanooga, TN – Stormy weather on Sunday night (May 24, 2026) led to multiple emergency calls across the Hixson area, including a reported incident where a tree fell onto a home in the 2700 block of Hamill Road.

The Chattanooga Fire Department said Battalion Chief Carlos Hampton documented the scene, where the tree caused property damage but no injuries were reported.

According to fire officials, Red Shift crews were kept busy throughout the night responding to weather-related incidents, including reports of downed wires and localized flooding across the area as the storm system moved through.

Authorities also used the opportunity to remind residents to avoid driving through flooded roadways, emphasizing the dangers posed by rapidly rising water during severe weather events.
