Tenn – Mattress manufacturer MLILY USA announced that it has donated 200 mattresses in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and Northern Georgia to help residents affected  by recent Eastern Sunday tornadoes that ravaged the area. The company, which has a strong legacy of giving back to the community, partnered with the J.A. Henry Community YMCA in Chattanooga for the donation. The YMCA, which provides bedding and other products to those in need, will distribute the MLILY mattresses to people in the area impacted by the storm.

Seven powerful tornadoes ripped through Chattanooga and Northern Georgia and left three people dead and a swath of property damage in its wake. More than 340 homes in Hamilton County where Chattanooga is located were destroyed, and 150 commercial and residential structures were damaged from the storms. MLILY operates a warehouse in Chattanooga.

“The deadly system came through the area and left devastating damage in its path,” said Stephen Chen, president of MLILY USA. “We are in the business of helping people live their best lives through better sleep, and during these trying times, a comforting night’s sleep helps restore us all to face the next day’s challenge. We stand with our neighbors as they look to rebuild and recover from this tragedy.”

Giving back and supporting community is an integral part of MLILY’s corporate culture. The company is an ongoing supporter of Special Spaces, a non-profit organization that transforms the bedrooms of terminally ill children, and in March, donated 200 mattresses and 200 pillows to help with tornado relief efforts in Nashville. To help during the COVID-19 pandemic, the company recently donated 75 gallons of hand sanitizer to three hospital systems.
