Knoxville, TN – Knoxville Police Department officials said the accident occurred around 7:11 p.m. Tuesday evening.
It happened on I-40 W.
Knoxville Police Department officers responded to a report of a crash.
The responding officers discovered that vehicle and tractor-trailer crashed at the location.
The unidentified female driver of the vehicle suffered serious injuries and was taken to a hospital for treatment.
Both the driver and the passenger of the tractor-trailer were not injured, police said.
