Nashville, TN – According to the police officials, this unfortunate accident occurred Friday night.
It happened on Elm Hill Pike.
MNPD officers responded to a report of a crash.
The responding officers discovered that the 37-year-old woman was reportedly struck by a vehicle while she walked on Elm Hill Pike.
The victim suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to a hospital, where she later died.
The 35-year-old driver of the Dodge R25 pickup truck drove away, but later returned to the scene.
He was identified as Michael Crockett.
Crockett reportedly told investigators that he did not see the victim.
The 35-year-old man is now charged with driving under the influence and leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death.
