Prosecutors said the 79-year-old man who stabbed his 60-year-old wife to death in February has been sentenced to life in prison. The couple reportedly got into an argument about a shoulder surgery that the defendant apparently needed to have. His wife urged him to get, but that he didn’t wish to undergo. At some point during the argument, the defendant grabbed a knife and stabbed and cut the victim multiple times, prosecutors said. He was sentenced on Tuesday.
The 79-year-old man from Georgia, Harold Seidenfaden, stabbed his 60-year-old wife, Debra Seidenfaden, to death during an argument over his shoulder surgery scheduled for the following day.
Prosecutors said that investigators recovered several pieces of physical evidence, including multiple knives appearing to be stained with blood. The defendant had waived his right to a jury trial.
The 60-year-old victim was found dead inside her RV on Feb. 8. The defendant reportedly told a neighbor that he had an argument with his wife and killed her.

“They ended up arguing so bad about it, he ended up stabbing her.” said Justin Duane, an assistant district attorney
The defendant tried to slit his wrists after mortally wounding his wife with what investigators believe may have been a chef’s knife from their kitchen. Seidenfaden would be 108 before he is eligible for parole, prosecutors said. This story will be updated as new information become available.
