Tennessee – The Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation (TDEC) welcomed Magotteaux Inc. of Pulaski as the newest member of the Tennessee Green Star Partnership, an environmental leadership program recognizing manufacturers committed to sustainability.

Magotteaux, a dual-operation foundry producing products for the cement, mining, and aggregate industries, operates 25 facilities worldwide. The Pulaski location is the company’s only dual production site in North America.

TDEC Commissioner David Salyers highlighted Magotteaux’s commitment to sustainability, noting its responsible environmental actions. The facility maintains four International Organization of Standardization (ISO) certifications, including ISO 14001 for environmental performance. Sustainability efforts at the Pulaski facility have led to significant energy savings, including repairing air leaks for an annual reduction of over 270,000 kWh, recycling over 2,000 pounds of materials monthly, shutting down the baghouse during non-production hours to save 1.6 million kWh annually, and upgrading lighting for an additional 2 million kWh in savings.

To qualify for the Tennessee Green Star Partnership, manufacturers must operate under an ISO 14001 certification or an equivalent environmental management system and maintain at least three years of exceptional environmental compliance with TDEC.
