Los Angeles, CA – According to the police officials, the 49-year-old man, later identified as DanieI, was arrested and later charged with murder and other charges in connection with his partner’s death. Prosecutors claim the man killed his much younger girlfriend, later identified as 38-year-old JuIie, at their shared apartment. The defendant is now facing life in prison if found guilty of the charges, court records say.
The fatal incident occurred earlier this month, police officials said. During the investigation process, authorities discovered that the boyfriend and the victim were drinking all night before they got into a heated altercation. Shortly after, the 49-year-old man strangled the woman before using a knife to cut her wrists.
The man didn’t called 911 or seek medical help, but chose instead to leave the woman’s body on the living room sofa while he watched TV. After watching TV, the man went to bed. The following morning, the man put the woman’s body in a dumpster outside the home.
The man then packed his belongings and went to his mother’s home, which is nearly 70 miles from the crime scene. Several days later, workers, who were hired to work on the front yard, saw the victim’s body and called the authorities. The 49-year-old man was arrested at his mother’s home and is being held on $1 million bond.
