A Chattanooga fire captain helped a victim in a Rutherford County interstate shooting

Chattanooga, TN – His name is Captain Brad Petty and he was traveling with his family from his son’s wrestling tournament when they saw a car swerve off to the side of Interstate 24.
They saw a man waving for someone to stop and help. Captain Petty stop and found a young woman who sustained a gunshot wound to the head.
The woman was traveling with her siblings and someone shot into their car, with a bullet striking her in the back seat.
Captain Petty opened her airway and used a shirt to apply pressure to her wounds.
