Chattanooga, TN – The Chattanooga Police Department’s Early Hire cadets are diving into a range of activities designed to help them become familiar with department tasks. Central to their training, however, is physical fitness. Last week, the cadets took part in a demanding workout at Finley Stadium, where they ran the concourse, sprinted the bleachers, and completed numerous push-ups and sit-ups.

The strenuous exercises are part of the department’s effort to prepare the cadets for the challenges of the upcoming Police Academy. The cadets are expected to develop both their physical and mental stamina as they continue their training.

This focus on fitness highlights the department’s commitment to ensuring that its future officers are in peak physical condition to handle the demanding nature of law enforcement work.

With the goal of strengthening the next generation of officers, the Chattanooga Police Department is providing valuable opportunities for its cadets to build the physical endurance needed for success in the Academy and beyond.

For those interested in joining the program, the Chattanooga Police Department is encouraging applications. The department is actively seeking candidates who are ready to take on the challenge and begin their journey toward a career in law enforcement.
