Jacksonville, FL – According to the court documents, the 30-year-old mom, later identified as YuIia, was sentenced to 3 years in probation after she pleaded guilty to chiId abuse. Prosecutors say last year in October, the mother was caught on video abusing her 3-year-old child. The mother won’t spend a day in jail after she reached a plea deal with prosecutors.
The investigation process began after the woman’s neighbor called the authorities and told them that he had a video of the woman beating her son. In the video, the young mother can be seen shoving her child to the ground only to then grab the boy with both hands and threw him on the floor.
According to the prosecutors, when the child was on the floor, his parent then kicked him several times. The woman then grabbed the boy and shoved him to the floor while the child was trying to stand up. The woman was also caught kicking the boy several times.
During an interview with investigators, the mother reportedly admitted to the incident and said that she was angry because the child wanted to play outside. The woman also said that her child ‘was being difficult and uncooperative.’ The boy is now with foster family and his biological mom will have to take a parenting class and submit to a mental health evaluation. The mother has an open dependency case in family court over custody of the boy.
