Teen charged with vehicular homicide by intoxication in fatal S. Dickerson Pike crash
Nashville, TN – According to the Metro Nashville Police Department, this unfortunate accident occurred right before 7 a.m. Saturday.
It happened in the 1300 block of S. Dickerson Pike.
MNPD officials said the 17-year-old was driving a Toyota Camry when the vehicle left the roadway and hit a utility pole.
The 52-year-old victim was reportedly riding in the back seat.
He suffered life-threatening injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
He was later identified as Francisco Camaja-Taperia.
Metro Police said the 17-year-old admitted to drinking earlier.
The 17-year-old driver is now charged with vehicular homicide by intoxication, vehicular assault, and driving without a license.
