Oklahoma City, OK – According to the police officials, the 34-year-old mom, later identified as FIor, was taken into custody and later charged with child abuse (2 counts) after authorities say she attempted to dr0wn her 4-year-old daughter and her sibling’s 6-year-old child at a local pooI. This incident occurred in June, but the formal charges were filled last week, court records say. The 34-year-old mom is being held on $250,000 bond, court records show.

The investigation process began after the pooI employees called 911 and told the dispatcher about the incident. The Iifeguards that were working at the pooI were able to revive both children after both were found unresponsive and not breathing. The responding officers then took the children to the local hospital for treatment. Luckily, both children are expected to recover, police officials say.

The victim’s mom and aunt was later taken into custody and interviewed by authorities. During an interview with investigators, the woman reportedly denied attempting to drown both children, but also said ‘that’s something she could have done’. Authorities also said that the woman was smiling and speaking calmly when she was questioned about the incident.

During the investigation process, authorities reportedly discovered that the she was smiling as she was holding both children underwater. Witnesses also told investigators that she kept her sibling’s child’s body and head under water while people were yelling at her. The woman’s child reportedly told authorities that her mom pushed her head under water and tried to force” her to ‘drink’ water. Both children had to be removed from the swimming pooI and administered CPR as they were both unresponsive.
