16-year-old student taken into custody, charged with making threat of mass violence and false reporting
Nashville, TN – According to the MNPD officials, 16-year-old Pearl Cohn High School student was arrested this morning after allegedly making an egregious threat to commit a mass shooting on Instagram.
The principal received screenshots of the threatening messages last night, leading to the identification of the student as the account owner. The Metro Nashville Police Department’s Rapid School Safety Team detained the student upon his arrival at school this morning, where he admitted to making the threat.
The student has been charged in Juvenile Court with making a threat of mass violence and false reporting.
