Rutherford County, TENNESSEE – According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, this unfortunate accident occurred around 3:15 a.m. Saturday.
It happened on the eastbound side of I-24 near mile marker 71.
Tennessee Highway Patrol troopers responded to a report of a crash involving a tractor-trailer and a pedestrian.
Authorities say the driver hit the 45-year-old victim when he ran out in front of the vehicle.
He was later identified as Tyson Green.
At this time, the driver of the tractor-trailer is not facing any charges.
This incident remains under investigation.
