The Tennessee Department of Revenue will host a free webinar on September 24 to discuss alcohol taxes
Chattanooga, TN – According to the state officials, the session, which will start at 9 a.m. Central Time, will reportedly focus on tax issues associated with entities that manufacture, sell, and/or distribute alcoholic beverages, including wine and beer, within Tennessee.
During the webinar, Revenue staff will provide detailed information on the various tax matters relevant to the alcohol industry. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions and gain insights into compliance and regulatory requirements.

The Department of Revenue is responsible for administering state tax laws, motor vehicle title and registration laws, and collecting the associated taxes and fees.
The department collects approximately 87 percent of the state’s total revenue. In the 2023 fiscal year, it collected $22 billion in state taxes and fees and over $4.6 billion for local governments.
