The Tennessee Department of Revenue’s Special Investigations Section has announced the arrest of woman on charges of tax evasion
Chattanooga, TN – According to the state officials, her name is Brittany Cardwell and her bond was set at $5,000.
The arrest follows an indictment by a Robertson County Grand Jury, which charged Cardwell with one felony count of tax evasion.
The indictment accuses Cardwell of providing false and misleading information to the Robertson County clerk’s office regarding the registration of a personal vehicle.
If found guilty, Cardwell faces a maximum penalty of two years in state prison and a fine of up to $3,000.
This case was pursued in collaboration with the Nineteenth Judicial District Attorney Robert Nash’s Office.
