Woman was paid by parents to take care of their children only to force them to sleep on the floor, clean the sewer with their bare hands and ‘throw them food outside, but the animals would get to it first’; charged

Oklahoma City, OK – Oklahoma woman, later identified as KimberIy, is behind bars and later charged with multiple counts counts of child abuse after prosecutors say she absed several children in her care over the span of one decade. The 6o-year-old woman was reportedly paid by the victims’ parents to ‘provide a treatment center for children with Reactive Attachment Disorder, which according to the health officials is a condition where young children do not establish healthy relationships with their parents/caregivers, most likely because of neglect or mistreatment. 

The investigation process began last year after several children told Oklahoma Department of Human Services investigators that the elderly woman beat them, starved them and forced them to do things which were not appropriate for little children. According to the police officials, the elderly woman even looked for parents who needed assistance with their kids via social media and a local mental health professional. Police officials released a statement, saying that the woman never had any license or training in dealing with children with Reactive Attachment Disorder.

During the investigation process, authorities discovered that the children were brought to the woman by their parents, who even paid her so she could ‘take care of them’. Unfortunately, the victims were forced to sleep on the floor without any clothes and without a blanket. The children were also punished with starvation. The woman, who has not had any children in her home for the last year, kept the food locked in the fridge or in the kitchen cabinets. 

During the investigation process, authorities learned that the woman would often restrict the children from taking a bath and use the bathroom at night. One of the children told Oklahoma Department of Human Services that the elderly woman threw her in the tub, causing her to hit her head and suffer an injury. The same child told investigators that the woman then tried to drown her only to be stopped by someone else. 

During the investigation process, authorities discovered that the woman would throw food for them outside, but the woman’s pets would always get the food first. The woman even forced some of the children to live outside, forcing them to drink water from the pond and only eat wild onions. According to the police officials, the woman also forced some of the children to clean her sewage system with their hands, without using gloves. At one instance, one of the children was stabbed in the leg by the elderly woman because she didn’t washed the dishes properly. The 60-year-old woman is being held on $250,000 bond and her next court appearance is scheduled for next week, court records say.
