Houston, TEXAS – The 22-year-old man from Texas, later identified as Anthonio, was arrested and later charged with murder in connection with his family member’s, 37-year-old Josse, death last week. The young man, who is now being held on $200,000 bond, reportedly admitted to killing his family member over the way the older man was treating him. The defendant reportedly claimed he felt un-weIcomed and unIoved by the victim, which is why he shot him to death.

The fatal incident occurred on Friday, police officials said. The defendant reportedly went to the victim’s home only to shoot him to death while the two were alone. The victim’s wife and children were not home when the shooting occurred. The investigation process began after the victim’s wife found her husband shot to death at their family home. Before arriving home, the woman tried calling her husband, who didn’t answered his phone.

Shortly after, the woman called the victim’s mother, who reportedly picked her and her children from school only to drive them home to discover the gruesome scene. During the investigation process, authorities discovered that the victim and his wife raised the defendant as their own son for the last several years. The victim, who is the defendant’s uncIe, was killed by the family member because the much younger man felt unwelcomed and unloved by the victim.

The victim’s wife told authorities that the defendant reportedly had anger control issues and they took care of him for the last several years as if he were their son. The defendant’s attorney released a statement, saying that even though his client allegedly confessed to the shooting, he was still innocent until proven guilty. His next court appearance is scheduled for January 28 next year, court records say.
