Chattanooga, TN – Songwriters from all genres can now sign up for the seventh annual Tennessee Songwriters Week, which officially opens today. This event offers songwriters the opportunity to perform in qualifying rounds held across Tennessee and compete for a chance to showcase their original music at iconic venues, including The Bluebird Cafe in Nashville.

Tennessee Songwriters Week, organized by the Tennessee Department of Tourist Development, supports local music venues, provides songwriters with live performance opportunities, and promotes tourism by inspiring travelers to explore the state’s rich musical heritage. Since its launch in 2019, over 4,000 songwriters have performed on Tennessee stages during this celebration each February.

The event kicks off in late January with qualifying rounds at nearly 50 participating venues across the state, including cafes, listening rooms, breweries, distilleries, museums, and historic theaters.
