The Chattanooga Police Department’s K9 Unit achieved remarkable success at the Region 22 USPCA K9 Trials
Chattanooga, TN – According to the police officials, the unit’s impressive performance across various categories showcased their dedication and skill.
In the PD1 category, which focuses on patrol work, CPD teams demonstrated exceptional abilities:
– In Obedience, MPO Timmons and K9 Burt placed 4th, while Officer Gerity and K9 Sully secured 8th.
– In Search, MPO Timmons and K9 Burt claimed 8th place.
– In Criminal Apprehension, Officer Gerity and K9 Sully ranked 9th, with Officer Isler and K9 Baba coming in 10th.
– Overall in PD1, Officer Gerity and K9 Sully ranked 5th, MPO Timmons and K9 Burt ranked 6th, Officer Isler and K9 Baba ranked 9th, and MPO Holmes and K9 Dave ranked 10th.
The K9 Unit also excelled in the Narcotics category:
– In Room Search, MPO Holmes and K9 Dave ranked 6th, and MPO Timmons and K9 Burt ranked 7th.
– In Vehicle Search, Officer Winkelman and K9 Anik took 1st place, Officer Gerity and K9 Sully ranked 4th, and MPO Timmons and K9 Burt ranked 8th.
– Overall in Narcotics, MPO Timmons and K9 Burt ranked 4th, and Officer Winkelman and K9 Anik ranked 5th.
