Chattanooga, TN – According to the state officials, these services are available at the Elizabethton Driver Services Center, the Unicoi Police Department, and at three Multi-Agency Resource Centers coordinated by the Tennessee Emergency Management Agency (TEMA).
The MARCs, which also offer assistance from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and other partners, are located at 466 Learning Road in Newport, 1749 HWY 19E in Elizabethton, and 306 Forest Drive in Jonesborough.
They are open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. EDT Monday through Saturday, and from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. EDT on Sunday.
The TDOSHS Driver Services mobile unit has been set up at the Elizabethton Driver Services Center, which is temporarily closed due to storm damage.
In addition to issuing free replacement licenses for flood victims, the mobile unit provides various driver services, including road skills and vision tests, license renewals, and issuing REAL IDs.
It operates Monday through Saturday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. EDT, and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. EDT, with credit or debit card payments only.
A temporary Driver Services location at the Unicoi Police Department, 3600 Unicoi Drive, is also offering free duplicate licenses to flood victims.
This site, open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. EDT Monday through Friday, is exclusively serving those impacted by the floods and accepts payments via credit or debit card.
