CPD arrests 32-year-old suspect on multiple charges related to solicitation of a minor and kidnapping
Chattanooga, TN – The Chattanooga Police Department arrested 32-year-old Kenya White on 12 counts of solicitation of a minor by electronic means, solicitation of a minor, and kidnapping.
On February 16, 2023, officers responded to East Lake Academy and, after speaking with the reporting party, determined that CPD’s Special Victims Unit (SVU) and the Department of Children’s Services (DCS) would conduct an investigation.
Under Tennessee Statute 37-1-607, cases of child se-ual exploitation require a team-coordinated response involving law enforcement, DCS, the Children’s Advocacy Center of Hamilton County, and the Hamilton County District Attorney’s Office.
The investigation included forensic analysis of digital devices and a detailed review of the evidence.
CPD worked with the Hamilton County District Attorney’s Office to obtain an indictment on February 10, 2025.

The charges are accusations, and a defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
