Florida – A Florida man, later identified as 19-year-old JuIien, was taken into custody and later charged with multiple charges, including manslaughter in connection with his parent’s death last month. The fatal incident occurred at the family’s home following an altercation between the young man and his parent, later identified as 45-year-old Fransis. Authorities say the victim was rushed to the hospital where hospital staff discovered that he was suffering from internal bIeeding of his spIeen, which was caused by a laceration from one of his broken ribs.

The investigation process began on January 19 after the 911 caller told the dispatcher about a man needing medical assistance. First responders rushed the victim to the hospital, where he later died. The medical examiner told investigators that the 45-year-old man died due to internal bIeeding, which was caused by a laceration from one of his broken ribs and his death was ruled a homicide.

During the investigation process, authorities learned that the victim and the defendant reportedly engaged in physical altercation while the defendant was carrying food to his room. His dad reportedly told him that he doesn’t deserve the food because he is not working. The defendant took the food anyway and was walking to his room when the victim reportedly pushed him.

The much younger man then put his parent in a headIock and punched him multiple times in the rib area. Both the victim and the defendant were separated when the victim’s girlfriend intervened. The defendant then walked inside his room only to hear his parent’s girlfriend yell from the living room. The 19-year-old man then realized that his dad wasn’t breathing and called 911.

Authorities said that the 19-year-old man is not cooperating with them and reportedly said that he wouldn’t speak without a lawyer present. He is being held on $50,000 bond and his next court date is on March 25, court records say.
