Michigan – A Michigan woman, later identified as 41-year-old Brande, was taken into custody and later charged with multiple charges, including first-degree murder, felony murder, first-degree child abuse, tampering with evidence and concealing the death of an individual in connection with her child’s death last year. Authorities said the mother killed her child in October last year before leaving the state and going to Georgia. The woman was arrested in Georgia and is now awaiting extradition to Michigan. 

The investigation process began last month after a witness called 911 and told the dispatcher that they found a shaIIow grave in his backyard. The responding officers arrived at the location only to find a foot sticking out of the ground. During the investigation process, authorities learned that the victim, later identified as 9-year-old Zamor, was murdered by his mom in October.

During the investigation process, authorities learned that the woman reportedly smothered/strangled the child to death. Just 10 days after she killed her child, the woman moved to Georgia. There, she was arrested for leaving her other child in the vehicle unattended while the temperatures outside were bellow 40. 

In connection with that incident, authorities learned that the woman lived in the car and made money by donating plasma. The unattended child was discovered after passerby saw the child all by himself. The responding officers found the child in the back seat, where they also found human f-ces. The child was cold, but was not injured. 

The child, who was not identified due to his age, was placed into foster care, while his mom was arrested. Authorities have not yet released a possible motive for the murder. The 41-year-old mom is in custody and is awaiting extradition back to Michigan, court records say. This incident remains under investigation.
