Monterey, TN – According to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, the 62-year-old suspect was arrested and taken into custody on Monday.
His name is Michael Phillips and he is now charged with with one count of Se-ual Exploitation of a Minor and one count of Aggravated Se-ual Exploitation of a Minor.
In April, after receiving information from the Cookeville Police Department’s Internet Crimes Against Children Unit, TBI agents assigned started investigating the suspect.
During the investigation, agents developed information that the 62-year-old man possessed images consistent with child se-ual abuse material.
Phillips was booked into the Cumberland County Jail and is being held on $90,000 bond.
