Chattanooga, TN – According to the statement, this Thursday, Chattanooga will celebrate National Police Women’s Day, honoring the dedicated women of the Chattanooga Police Department.

These officers have made significant contributions to the safety and well-being of the community through their service.

Officer Parks, who has served with the department for five years, reflected on her reasons for joining the force. “I chose to be a police officer to help build a trusting relationship between law enforcement and the community while serving and protecting our community,” she said.

She emphasized the importance of reaching out to the city’s youth. “If police officers can show that there are more opportunities and resources for our youth, we’ll be able to plan more graduation parties than funerals.”

National Police Women’s Day provides an opportunity to recognize the role of women in law enforcement, acknowledging their efforts to foster stronger community ties and ensure public safety.
