Chattanooga, TN – According to the statement, the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency reported no boating-related fatalities for the third consecutive year over the Labor Day holiday period from Aug. 31 to Sept. 2.
There were two minor injury incidents on Chickamauga Lake and Dale Hollow Lake, along with one property damage incident.
Boating officers made five arrests for boating under the influence (BUI), with four in Middle Tennessee and one in East Tennessee.
For 2024, there have been 16 boating-related fatalities, which is four fewer than during the same period in 2023.
