Chattanooga, TN – According to the officials, the event, which will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., will reportedly feature costumed interpreters bringing to life stories of Tennesseans throughout key historical events, such as the Civil War and Prohibition.

This free, family-friendly event invites visitors to explore the park’s renowned 1,400-foot Pathway of History, located beneath the shadow of the Tennessee State Capitol, while learning about the state’s rich past.

The Tennessee Timeline is part of a broader day of activities in the area, with nearby attractions such as the Nashville Farmers’ Market, the Tennessee State Museum, and the Tennessee State Library and Archives.

Additionally, the Southern Festival of Books will take place at the park over the weekend, offering author discussions and booksellers.

Opened in 1996 to commemorate Tennessee’s Bicentennial, the Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park spans 20 acres and features a 200-foot granite map of the state, a World War II Memorial, a 95-bell carillon, and the Rivers of Tennessee Fountains.

The park is located north of the Capitol, between James Robertson Parkway and Jefferson Street, along 6th and 7th avenues in downtown Nashville.
